Arezoo M FArd

I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I am a multidisciplinary artist, accessory designer, and fashion designer whose creative journey is rooted in revealing beauty in the overlooked. My work explores the relationship between nature, materiality, and contemporary design. Working across wearable accessories, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, collage, and visual storytelling, I transform natural observations into meaningful objects and visual narratives. Guided by curiosity, experimentation, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the Earth, I seek not to imitate nature but to understand its logic and translate it into new visual languages that connect art, design, and material innovation. Alongside my creative practice, I am currently a PhD Candidate in Architectural Communication at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. My research explores biomaterials, materiality, visual culture, and sustainable innovation, expanding my multidisciplinary approach to accessory and fashion design. I believe thoughtful design has the power to create not only beautiful objects but also meaningful connections between people, culture, and the environment. I welcome collaborations with artists, designers, fashion brands, museums, galleries, cultural institutions, and creative studios interested in thoughtful design, interdisciplinary research, and meaningful creative projects.

Artist Statements

My work begins with observation, but observation alone is never enough. When I encounter a texture in nature, I begin asking questions. I photograph it, examine its structure, search for patterns, compare it with other materials, imagine its transformation into wearable forms, and explore its potential as a surface, a print, a color, or a new material. For me, nature is not a source of decoration or inspiration. It is a living archive of knowledge. Every texture carries information, every surface tells a story, and every material offers the possibility of discovering new relationships between design, matter, and human experience.
