At first, it wasn’t planned at all. I had absolutely no intention of building this cabin. I started by making a simple platform on a few small supports. Then I felt like adding a wall to it. I missed the tiny scale models I had left behind in Iran. I went to a shop, saw some small miniature models, and bought them. And I thought: I should put a roof on top of these walls, and under it a few chairs, a table, and some books. Little by little, a yard took shape. A window was added. Curtains. A sofa and a painting. Little by little, grass appeared. Little by little. And little by little, my cabin formed all by itself. I couldn’t believe how it was coming together. While I was building this cabin, I was listening to Rich Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I was thinking that I want to be a “rich mom” for my children too, and create a worry-free life for them. After completing some stages, I would stop and think and say to myself: I wish I had made some parts this way or that way instead. But even that felt good. Because I didn’t know what was going to happen next. There was no model to follow. Everything was completely intuitive and spontaneous. Just like life. I kept going, with pleasure, and I’m still continuing. Arezoo M.Fard
